From 1 July 2025, VI Partners will be updating how we handle invoicing for changes made to your company records with ASIC (the Australian Securities and Investments Commission).
Currently, some of these changes—such as director updates, share changes, or address amendments—may be bundled with your company’s Annual Review if they occur around the same time. However, under updated internal compliance procedures and in response to the increasing administrative burden of ASIC reporting, any ASIC forms we prepare will now be invoiced separately, even if the change coincides with your annual review period. This is not a decision we’ve made lightly, but one we feel is important to communicate clearly and upfront. Our goal is to maintain transparency and ensure our services remain consistent, accurate, and compliant.
What does this mean for you?
-
Every ASIC form we prepare on your behalf will be invoiced as a separate service, regardless of the timing.
-
This applies to changes such as:
-
Appointing or resigning directors
- Officer or member address changes
-
Updating registered office or principal place of business
-
Issuing or transferring shares
-
Changing company name or details
-
-
These changes require careful documentation, timely lodgement, and compliance with ASIC’s strict reporting standards—whether they occur during your company’s annual review period or not.
Why this change?
We’re committed to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all ASIC lodgements made on your behalf. As regulatory expectations continue to grow, the preparation and review of these changes requires dedicated time and expertise. Invoicing these changes separately ensures transparency and supports the high standard of service we deliver.
Pricing Transparency
Fees for ASIC changes start from $270, depending on the complexity and type of change. Before we begin any work, you will always receive the price upfront.
Lodging changes yourself
If you prefer, you may choose to lodge company changes directly with ASIC using their online portal. This may be appropriate for simple changes where you’re confident managing the process. However, many clients choose to engage us for this complicated process to ensure changes are accurate, compliant, and lodged within the required timeframe.
What you need to do
There’s nothing you need to do unless you’re planning a company change. However, please be aware that:
-
Any changes requested from 1 July 2025 onwards will attract a separate fee, even if they are finalised around your company’s annual review.
-
We’ll continue to keep you informed of all required actions and costs before proceeding with any lodgements
If you have any questions about how this update affects your company, or if you are planning any upcoming changes, please get in touch with our team.
We appreciate your understanding and continued trust in VI Partners.
